Abstract

Sprigings’ “verifiable response” fails to provide a critique of the argument in my Fallacy paper. He has chosen, instead, to highlight a number of random and apparent “contradictions” in my own personal position. So, his verifiable response seeks to undermine the Fallacy paper by criticizing its authorship rather than by engaging with the arguments in it. Nevertheless, he has pointed to apparent contradictions in my work so, necessarily, I will have to deal with them. In doing so, I show that his accusation that my Fallacy paper consists of “fictions” is, itself, fantastical and that, ironically, none of the points he makes in his “verifiable response” can be verified.
