Abstract
In many industrial applications, Robots are increasingly becoming mobile and autonomous. One of the key components of the Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) design is the Battery system. Beyond manufacturing, AMRs are being adopted in more industries such as Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Logistics, and Agriculture. This paper discusses the Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology for AMRs, the existing technology, its importance, and the advantages. It equally compares the Wireless Charging Technology with the conventional Wired Charging method. Finally, some of the design considerations for the WPT are considered.
