    Abstract

This report documents the experiences of 15 young people who are registered to the London Metropolitan Police Trident 'gangs' database. The report unashamedly foregrounds the stories as narrative to highlight the damaging and harmful effects of over-policing and the creation of a hostile environment as a strategy to manage those suspected of being gang members in London.
