Installation in the "Red Banner Factory" St Petersburg, Russia, part of which was designed (1926-37 ) by the modernist architect Erich Mendelsohn and is still operating today. The installation was the product of an extended period of research into factories in Manchester, both working and redeveloped, together with a three week residency in the "Red Banner Factory". Video documentation of buildings in both cities was combined to create a journey around an extended piece of architecture, this was projected together with a fabric model of the building made with the help of factory workers, recorded interviews in both English and Russian and interventions at the factory windows which layered Manchester and St Petersburg views. Fabrika was part of a group event initiated by emplacements (Francoise Dupre, Gail Pearce and Roxanne Permar).
