Abstract

A trip along the upper reaches of the Manchester Ship Canal accompanied by a live commentary and recorded video journeys into spaces and places on the bank. These journeys explore how people and this constructed environment co-exist. The video presentations contain an overview (e.g. views from the flight TEA made along the entire canal), middle ground (e.g. buildings) and close up details (e.g. underwater photos taken by our diver), together with photographs and video stills and recorded interviews. The live commentary contains TEA's observations, found text and texts supplied by contributors.
