    Abstract

This document presents a Place Quality Audit of Kegworth High Street, independently conducted by the Institute of Place Management (IPM). The audit applies a framework of 25 priorities for high street vitality and viability, developed through research at Manchester Metropolitan University1. These priorities assess five dimensions: the high street’s look and feel, functionality, offer, need for change, and management. The audit draws on desk-based research, a use class survey, and an in-person site visit to evaluate Kegworth’s performance. Findings are summarised using a Red–Amber–Green (RAG) rating system: Red indicates critical issues that significantly undermine high street performance and demand immediate action. Amber highlights areas requiring targeted improvement. Green reflects good practices that should be protected and sustained.
