    Abstract

This study advances the knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chains (PSCs) to understand the features of re-designing and building resilience in PSCs by employing a dynamic capability theory (DCT) lens. We adopted a qualitative approach on a corpus of data from 114 articles published in 84 peer-reviewed academic journals. The thematic analysis revealed the advantages and impediments arising from the implementation of I4.0 technologies within PSCs to recover from disruptions. These findings led us to develop the pharmaceutical supply chain resilient capabilities (PSCRC) model that provides a roadmap for supply chain organizations as they integrate I4.0 technologies to improve their processes.
