Abstract
This article aims to explore the role of language as a site of hope and resistance in times of failure and dehumanisation. The specific context from which this thinking stems is from Gaza- a place of hell of earth, broadcasting images of unfathomable death and destruction to places of no words left on earth. The article asks what role can language play when truth is assaulted and when language is shattered under the hammer of pain and under threats of state surveillance and repercussions? How can language survive when it is looted and when all words have been said? Most importantly, how can global citizenship education respond to the global failures in Gaza?
