    Abstract

The Club Days at Scottish Women’s Football identifies who the fans are and what they want. The report provides an up-to-date insight into key trends in women’s football outside of Scotland. In both cases the message is one of positive growth. The Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) was formed in 2022, when the clubs playing in the existing top two leagues decided to move the ownership and operation of elite competitions into a new structure. The creation of the SWPL has helped to further accelerate the professional development and opportunities for women and girls in Scottish football.
