Abstract

This entry focuses on victim participation in international adjudicatory mechanisms in international human rights law (Victim Participation: Human Rights Bodies) and international criminal law (Victim Participation in International Criminal Proceedings). It starts mapping out some key concepts such as the definition of victims in each jurisdiction and the concept of victim participation, which take different forms in each analysed jurisdiction.
