Abstract

Project description Morphometric analysis of the glacial cirques of the Iberian Peninsula. Description of the dataset Two shapefiles: one with the surface of each circus and the other with the lowest point of the circus (closure plan). In total there are 1505 mapped glacial cirques. Methodology Mapping of circuses in Google Earth through direct interpretation and use of bibliographic references. Transformation from .klm to .shp format. Mapping the "plan closure" shapefile in ArcGIS using the mapped glacial cirque and a hillshade raster in the background. Morphometric analysis carried out with the ACME tool (Spagnolo et al. 2017) from the polygons of glacial cirques, the points of "plan closure" and a Digital Model of Elevations of the Iberian Peninsula from the ALOS PALESAR program.
