    Abstract

This case study aims to introduce you to an approach to narrative analysis that can be particularly helpful when conducting research with marginalised voices. The article will guide you through the steps of conducting a Foucauldian-informed narrative analysis in the context of an example. This case study and the original study were conducted within a stance of critical constructivism, which means the researchers critically appreciate the past and present sociocultural, environmental and political influences upon individual’s meaning making and storying of themselves, others and the wider world. We encourage you to keep the spirit of this in mind whilst reading this case study. You will be provided a summary of the research this case study is based upon, but we will mainly focus on the analysis portion of the research.
