    Abstract

An interest in the dynamic, lived, agential role of place in children’s lives can be traced across an interdisciplinary literature, including geography, anthropology, architecture, social studies of childhood, and new materialism. This chapter highlights some of this literature in order to explore how place shapes young children and young children space place in multiple ways.
