Abstract

Background: Experience of working in and with mainstream schools to support junior/secondary age students with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN; Awareness of differences between stakeholders (education staff, health staff, parents, students…) in ways of talking about SLCN; Differences may be deeper than terminology, and reflect underlying philosophies about aetiology and management.
