Abstract

REGAL, an artefact that shows heritage and Chinese cultural values, innovative application of traditional Chinese textile art technique – Chinese Knotting and traditional Chinese cultural floral symbolic meaning to floral art exhibit. An innovative artefact of 100% cotton yarn Chinese knotted ‘qi-pao’ with double coin knot and crochet Mandarin collar as floral art mechanics. This textile and floral arts exhibit is with double-coins Chinese knots that signified wealthy, orchards signified elegance and ivy leaves signified longevity.
