Abstract
Vogue and W Magazine referred to the A/W fashion week catwalk shows as the “Season of the Witch’. This growing interest has steadily risen reflecting a growing interest in all things mystical. Designers such as Prada and McQueen all chose to include themes of the Occult within their recent work. So has the witch become something of an emblem of our time, reflecting the current zeitgeist and feelings of uncertainty within contemporary society? Is this reframing of the witch within a contemporary context moving society away into a new age of Enlightenment?
